Global Marketer Brings Expertise in PET and Other Packaging Sectors
WASHINGTON, DC, U.S.A., August 27, 2014: Michael Urquhart will work in cooperation with Gunther Hoyt Associates, a key international sales agent for NPE2015: The International Plastics Showcase, it was announced today by SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association, which produces the triennial NPE shows. NPE2015 will take place March 23-27, 2015 in Orlando, FL, U.S.A.
Mr. Urquhart will focus on sales of NPE2015 exhibit space to the packaging industries—in particular the PET segments—in countries where Gunther Hoyt Associates is the exclusive sales agent for NPE2015. These include European nations, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Former Husky Vp Michael Urquhart Joins Npe2015 Sales Team
Michael Urquhart retired last year after a 33-year career with the global plastics equipment manufacturer Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. One of his responsibilities was to organize the company’s exhibits at numerous trade shows. At his retirement, he was Husky’s vice president of global sales for packaging systems.
“Mike brings to our NPE2015 sales program a wealth of industry knowledge and personal contacts focused on PET and other packaging,” said Gunther Hoyt, president of Gunther Hoyt Associates. “He is eminently qualified to explain to prospective exhibitors that NPE2015 will bring together the leading packaging manufacturers, their suppliers, and the merchandisers or OEMs which they serve.”
Packaging is consistently one of the dominant markets at NPE among both exhibitors and attendees, noted Gene Sanders, SPI’s senior vice president of trade shows and conferences. “With NPE2015 on track to equal or surpass the largest previous NPE, it will be an essential, once-in-three-years opportunity for suppliers to this market.”
NPE is a triennial international plastics exposition solely owned and produced by SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association. NPE2015 will take place Monday through Friday, March 23-27, 2015, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. NPE2012 had 1,933 exhibitors, 40% of which came from outside the U.S.A. The event attracted 55,359 participants, 26% of them international visitors.
